Jose David de Gea, better known as simply David, is a new-comer this year to the World Supersport Championship as well as the Yamaha Spain squad. But don’t let that fool you. David has raced in World Supersport previously as well as having been a wild card rider at the Valencia round of the World Superbike Championship in 2007. His career has also seen him participate in 250GP and MotoGP races, though his best success has been in the Spanish Formula Extreme Championship, which he has taken the title in a total of four times since 2003.
