Fabien Foret is a well-known name in the World Supersport paddock with an illustrious career to date, including his Yamaha entry in 2004 and the WSS title in 2002.
With 80 WSS races, 12 pole positions, 10 wins and 12 other podiums over the past seven years, Foret is certain to be good company for Broc Parkes in 2008. The two riders have been team mates previously and found themselves in fierce contention for second championship place at the end of 2007. Parkes won the battle, which went down to the final round at Magny-Cours, but 2008 could prove Fabien’s year to settle that score.
Foret’s career doesn’t just comprise of World Supersport achievements; his CV includes appearances World Superbike, Superstock 1000 and winning the famous Bol d’Or in 2000 on an YZF-R1. All this experience means that Foret needs only to get to grips with the YZF-R6 and he’ll be battling at the front of the pack.
